Small Straws in a Soft Wind - Faith Tabernacle - Marsha Burns + 12 Useful Christian Resources

Small Straws in a Soft Wind” is one of many resources available online for a Christian.

The internet is a wonderful tool. You can use it to find almost anything. Of course to some, the most important thing will be their faith. Thankfully, the internet has resources available for that as well.

I have tried to compile a small list of things that “the ordinary fellow” who is trying to dive deeper into their faith, or someone who is just looking to get some helpful resources, can use.

The book titled “Small Straws in a Soft Wind” “is a collection of words from the Lord that have been compiled topically.” Small Straws in a Soft Wind -Fruit of the Spirt

The author, Marsha Burns, is a senior pastor, along with Bill Burns, of the “Faith Tabernacle,” based in Kremmling, Colorado.

Quoted from Bill and Marsha’s biography: “Marsha is a teacher and prophet with pastoral anointing. She has been commissioned by the Lord to prophesy to the nations through “Small Straws In a Soft Wind” sent out via the Internet. “

The book is unclear as to what is implied when “a collection of words from the Lord” is stated. As I was looking through the book, it seemed to be a collection of prayers, and also Biblical quotes. It did however seem that the book had much biblical bases, and I would consider it to be a worthy read of anyone who is interested in Biblical books.

You will find many other resources published by Mr and Mrs. Burns on their main website, ft111.

The Faith Tabernacle website can be found here:

If you would like another article by Mrs. Burns, this is a post written by her posted on the “Elijah list Ministries”, a free newsletter and website that has many writings from people who seem to be writing for the lord.

Just remember to question your teacher.

To find more free Christian books for fun, or study, it can be helpful to have a website that will give you a good list. The Christianity oasis website has been one of my favorites to find so far, as they seem to offer helpful lists on a variety of topics.

This next resource, Through the Bible, is a study guide for the bible. The author, David J, Shreve, has taken the time to re-arrange the Bible so that it is read in chronological order. I happen to be a person that likes reading things in order, and I have often wondered if there was a chronologically arranged version. Well, this appears to be one! Mr. Shreve has also taken the time to give you a reading plan, should you chose to follow it, that will help you read the bible in one year. I personally read my bible every day, and probably get through it about once a year, so I can say that this is a great goal to have.

This resource offers some lessons on becoming detached from the world. As a Christian, this can be one of the hardest things to get through our thick human skulls, and I think most would agree. Any time that I get the chance to be reminded of my duty to do so, I always find it to be a faith reviving experience.

Created by Barry Hall, Abiding in God by Repentance seems to be a great resource.

Next we have “His Healing Touch”, a book that delves into the fact that Jesus still heals people, even from heaven. Composed by Jason Powers, this book offers a chance to have some more fun reading and building your faith. It can be hard to take it at face value that Jesus really can heal you with just his word. But it is true.

Now books are all well and good, but if you are looking for something a little more hands on, these next few resources are for you. These next two websites offer free biblical training, something that can be priceless. Especially in a time now where it can be uncomfortable for some to have face to face contact, and perhaps would like to have a little more guidance trying to understand the big book, Biblical Training can be a great way to help develop your faith.

The first website is biblicaltraining.org.

This website seems to be a gold mine of resources. With a multitude of free classes at many different levels, if you are looking for help developing your faith, this is a great place to start.

The second website is christianleadersinstitute.org. Much like biblicaltraining.org, this website offers many different free classes. If you are really looking to develop your faith, I would recommend checking out both websites for yourself and exploring them.

Next we have a place to listen to free Christian music, christianradio.com

Music is one of the greatest ways to connect to different people, and can also be one of the biggest influences in the way that we think. To listen to music that is going to help you stay on track is one of the best things that you can do.

Check out the Christian radio here.

Along with music, visual art can have a very large influence on people. And if you are trying to create something for the internet, you have probably heard of clipart. Clipart can be a great thing to use, and having a good source can be hard to find.

And of course, another way that people love to connect, is over food. For this one we revisit the website christanityoasis.com, because they have again provided an awesome looking list of free christian recipes.

For the last item of today’s list, we have by far, in my opinion, the most interesting thing.

A lot of people nowadays might be questioning the motives of today’s pharmaceutical companies. And some of those people might not like the idea of taking “energy supplements” that said institutions sell.

This last resource is a christian energy supplement, titled “Wisdom Energy.”

Created by Dr. Patrick Gentempo, wisdom energy takes multiple herbs and spices mentioned in the Bible and combines them in a way to boost your energy.

My favorite thing about this is you can see right on his website exactly what he put in it, and where he got it from scripture.
